One Life Resource was started when I was 14 years old. I was moved by a personal experience. Before starting this organization I spent time feeding the homeless around Spartanburg. This is where it all started for me.

While feeding the homeless one time I had an experience that effected me. We were set up outside the closed down Hardee's Downtown Spartanburg. We began handing out our homemade meals one by one. As the word got out that we were there more people began to show up. Thats when a man came up to get a meal and asked us why we were doing what we were doing. We started a small conversation and thats when he asked how many meals we had left. We told him we had a good many and to tell others. He then explained that there we 5 people living with him in the bushes behind that same Hardee's. It was at that moment that it really hit me how big this issue effected our area.
 

Later on One Life Resource was created. The mission to help end these issues and spread awareness about it. So far we have opened two food pantries. These pantries are open 24/7 with no questions asked. The are set up to be available to who ever and when ever.
